Sounds Like Science Assembly (Mad Science): PM Kinder + 2nd and 3rd

Mad Science is coming back to Mariemont! This year, the theme is Sounds Like Science. Kids get tuned into learning with exciting demonstrations and experiments, including the surprisingly loud dinosaur-in-a-can, the glowing electric pickle, and a kid-created thunderstorm! The assemblies will take place on the following dates: Friday, February 9 9:15-10:00 AM Kinder and First Grade 10:15-11:00 Fourth and Fifth Grades Monday, February 12 11:00-11:45 Second and Third Grades 12:00-12:45 PM Kinder This program is 100% funded through PTA dollars. Thank you all for your donations and support.

Yoga: Kinder, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th (during school)

Led by Jen Brinsky ... Purpose: To actively introduce students to the concept and practice of yoga as a way to strengthen and care for our bodies and minds and to encourage students to move their bodies joyfully, safely, and creatively. Message: Yoga is for everyone! Through the practice of tuning in to our bodies and emotions, we can foster a growth mindset within ourselves and do a better job of caring for ourselves, others, and the world around us. Methods: Students will be guided to practice mindful listening, movement, and breathing using the modalities below. Music + rhythm Imaginative
