Fall Carnival Informational Meeting

The Fall Carnival is scheduled for Saturday, October 13th. Our committee needs YOU! We will be hosting an informational meeting on Wednesday, September 12th at 7:30 PM. This meeting will be held at Elaine Rubin’s house,1221 El Toro Way. Questions or comments? Email us!

Parent Info Night #1 – Test Results, MAP Testing

"Parent Info Nights" is a brand new evening program specifically for you! Based on your feedback and conversations with teachers and staff, we recognized a need to have some informal discussions about relevant topics during the school year. These info nights will be hosted by Principal Beth Wahl as well as a few teachers who have expertise on the given topic. The format will be causal and will only be an hour, 7:00 - 8:00 pm. While PTA will be providing refreshments for the evening, this is not a PTA meeting. Our goal is not to discuss PTA business. September 

Thank You Thursday

On the last Thursday of the month a grade level or group will spoil our staff with coffee and treats! Coffee is provided by the PTA; morning and afternoon snacks are donated. Unlike classroom treats, these can be homemade. When it is your child's grade level month, look for an email or Sign-up Genius on how to participate. This Month's Thank You Thursday is sponsored by Grade 4.

History Day Information Meeting

The Sacramento County National History Day Competition is coming soon! Please join us for an informational meeting for kids and parents on Thursday, September 20th at 6:30 PM in the Mariemont Library. Come learn about this incredible opportunity for Mariemont’s 4th and 5th graders. We will be meeting after school at 3:15 in the Library on the following days: October 2nd & 16th November 6th & 27th (might meet earlier on the 27th due to early dismissal) December 11th & 18th January 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th February 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th The Sacramento County Competition is on Saturday, March 2nd 

School Picture Day

All students will be photographed on picture day. Discounted picture packages must be ordered on or before picture day. Pictures ordered later will be offered at a higher price. Order online using school code: MEF18

Grand Lunch

The Grand Lunch is a wonderful way for students to share lunch and books with a "grand person." Students can invite a special grandparent, relative, or other "grand" persons to come to Mariemont. Join them for lunch, then shop together at the Book Fair. Grand persons should plan to arrive at least 15-20 minutes. Head directly to the student's classroom and wait outside the door quietly. No need to sign in. Here is the schedule: PM Kinder and SDC: 10:45 AM - 11:25 AM AM Kinder, 1st, and 2nd Grade: 11:40 AM - 12:20 PM 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade, 

Fall Box Tops Drive Begins

Our first box top drive kicks off this week and goes through October 26th. Watch for box top collection sheets to come home with your student and gather your box tops! The class with the most box tops turned in will win a Popcorn Party!
