New Family Orientation, Part II: Presentation

In part II of our new family orientation, beginning at 6:00 pm, we will be giving a ½ hour presentation about Mariemont. We will be highlighting our school community as well as the major events and programs that are planned for the 2018-2019 school year. We look forward to meeting you! NOTE: This event is Parent-Only

Kindergarten Back-to-School Night

If you are a parent with a Kindergartner at Mariemont, please join the Kindergarten Teachers for Back to School Night. And, new this year, all the Kindergarten families will be meeting together in the MP Room for Back-to-School presentations. Classroom visits will be available after the teachers present and answer questions. NOTE: This event is Parent-Only

Back to School Parent Coffee Social

Multi-Purpose Room

School starts at 8:40 am! After you’ve taken your favorite first-day pictures and told your kiddo to have a great day, please join us in the in Courtyard outside of the MP room. The PTA will be hosting our annual Back-to-School Coffee Social. This is always a fun event and a great way to meet with new parents and reconnect with friends. Coffee and other morning refreshments will be provided.

Back-to-School Night, Grades 1-2

Classroom

Parents, this is your opportunity to meet your child’s teacher and see their classroom. Please go directly to your child’s classroom at 6 pm. Each classroom teacher will have a presentation about their class, curriculum, field trips, and other important events planned for the school year. Don’t forget to stop by the Courtyard for light refreshments and Mariemont Logo-wear ordering. Remember, this is a parent only event, we will not have supervision for your child, so sending them out to play on the playground is not an option. Note: This is for first and second grades only. There is another

Each classroom teacher will have a presentation about their class, curriculum, field trips, and other important events planned for the school year. Don’t forget to stop by the Courtyard for light refreshments and Mariemont Logo-wear ordering. Remember, this is a parent only event, we will not have supervision for your child, so sending them out to play on the playground is not an option. Note: This is for grades 3-5 only. There is another event starting 

PTA General Meeting #1

Multi-Purpose Room

PTA General Meetings are usually held in the MP Room unless otherwise announced. All parents are welcome to attend. PTA members will vote on the motions. As outlined in our bylaws, there will be general PTA business conducted for the general session. After this, the remaining time is dedicated to a topic or speaker of interest. For this first General Meeting, we will be focused on student safety which will include bullying and campus security. 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm: Social 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm: Meeting Note: This is a parent-only event!

Wellness Wednesday #1

Courtyard

Celebrate walking or biking to school! Join us in front of the MP Room from 8:25 - 8:40 am. We will have healthy morning snack choices. All students are welcome. If you are interested in helping or want more information, please contact Elaine Rubin.

Dads On Campus (DOCs) Info Night

19 Handles 4235 Arden Way

Our first informational meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 11th at 6 PM in the back room at 19 Handles (4235 Arden Way on the corner of Eastern Ave.)  Come have a drink with other Mariemont Dads, Grandpas, Uncles, and more! We hope to have a big turnout to gather input, generate ideas, get started on the right foot in the 2018-19 school year.
