Principal’s message

Welcome back to school!

Welcome! This kicks off my 22nd school year, and every year brings anticipation and excitement. This school year is going to be filled with amazing things! From our outstanding staff to the carefully planned curriculum, the exciting assemblies, and memorable field trips … there is something for everyone!

I am thrilled to have a few new staff members joining our incredible team this year! Laura McAlister (2nd grade), Alicia Gillespie (3rd grade) and Alix Bowen (Speech). Please join us in welcoming them to our community when you see them on campus! In addition to these new teachers, we have quite a few new support staff joining the team.

As you may know, the district-wide ‘migration’ is in full swing. School will now begin at 8:40 and dismiss at 3:10 on all days except Thursdays (school is dismissed at 1:55 pm).  The drop-off and pick up areas will also have a stronger teacher presence this year, to help make sure these times of day go as smoothly as possible. We sincerely appreciate your patience and support with following drop off and pick up procedures. Please be patient as we all work on this together!

Thank you for choosing Mariemont as your child’s home away from home. I speak for the staff in saying we will do our best this year to not only educate your children with cutting-edge curriculum but to make sure we are helping grow and develop social skills and overall well-balanced kiddos!

I am proud to be a Mustang!
